Dead reckoning is a vector sum. The wind shoves you sideways; you aim off to cancel it — that aim-off is the wind correction angle. Set course, TAS, and wind: get heading, groundspeed, and enroute time, with the triangle drawn the way an E6B solves it. Heading = course + WCA · GS = TAS·cosWCA + tailwind component.
